Spencer Building Carrier Hotel
555 West Hastings, Vancouver, BC, V6B4N6, CA
Polaris manages the Harbour Centre Complex at 555 West Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver and sells inside it directly: MMR5, the newest meet-me room in the building, Colo5 colocation, and powered shell across 43,000 sq ft of newly developed space carrying 5 MW. The complex has worked as a telecommunications gateway since 1994, and 57 networks and four internet exchanges now reach the address, which makes it the densest interconnection point in British Columbia. Four other operators hold rooms in the same building - Cologix VAN1 and VAN5, eStruxture VAN-2 and PureColo's MMR6B - so a tenant can reach several estates without leaving the complex. Beanfield, Columbia Networks, MoreWave, Novus, TeraGo and Astute Internet are among the networks Polaris names as partners. The Spencer Building itself is a 1928 heritage building adjoining the tower, and Simon Fraser University's downtown campus occupies part of it.
