Eight buildings sit between 2305 and 2335 South Ellis Street in Chandler, south-east of Phoenix, and CyrusOne sells them as a single campus: PHX1 through PHX8, two million sq ft of technical space against 169 MW of IT capacity. An on-site substation feeds the estate. Cooling is designed to consume no water, running indirect evaporative units backed by a chilled water plant of multiple 500-ton chillers, which is what lets a campus this size sit in the Sonoran Desert without a heavy draw on municipal supply. Sixteen networks, two carriers and one exchange are reachable inside the buildings. CyrusOne states Energy Star certification for PHX3 and PHX4, Green Globes at three globes for PHX1 through PHX5, and SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and FISMA compliance across the estate. KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners took the company private on 25 March 2022 in a transaction of about $15 billion.
