MTL7 sits five blocks from MTL3 at 1155 Boulevard Robert-Bourassa — the street downtown Montréal knew as University until it was renamed — and Cologix markets it as the annex to its carrier hotel. Its 26,000 square feet carry 3.1 MW after a 2.5 MW expansion, with six 500 kVA UPS units behind a diverse power entrance on automatic transfer switches. Cooling is substantial for the footprint: 690 tons across two floors, CRAC direct-expansion plus a chilled-water loop, N+1 with free cooling and hot-aisle containment pods. In June 2023 QIX put a second physical point of presence here, so tenants can reach the exchange without depending on MTL3 alone. Twenty-six networks are on site, with CANIX Montréal present and on-ramps to all five major clouds.
