Empyrion Digital TK1 Data Centre
within Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, JP, Tokyo, JP
Empyrion Digital's Tokyo project is called JP1: a five-storey building of 21,000 m2 carrying 25 MW, sited within 5 km of Otemachi and the exchange fabric that sits there. Empyrion announced it on 2 September 2024 with a binding agreement signed and power already secured, put construction start in 2025 and targets operation in late 2027. Behind it is Seraya Partners, which launched the Empyrion platform in 2021 and has committed US$828 million of equity to a portfolio spanning Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok and Johor. The design is described as Tier III-quality, which is an intention rather than an award: Empyrion's one Uptime certificate is a Tier III Certification of Design Documents for TW1 in Taipei. No street address has been published for the Tokyo site.
