Equinix DC13 is the former Verizon IAD1 building at 21830 Uunet Way, Ashburn — the only published Washington DC IBX on that street, and one Equinix lists simply as Ashburn rather than as part of the Ashburn Campus. It joined Equinix when the Verizon data center purchase closed on 1 May 2017 and offers 75,003 sq ft of colocation. The plant is N+1 UPS with 2/N+1 generators and 30+ hours of fuel; cooling is N+20% with free cooling and hot/cold aisle containment, from a 4 kVA minimum per cabinet. Fire protection is single-interlock pre-action with non-aspirated detection on a 250 psf raised floor above the 500-year flood elevation. Audits: SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, 22301 and 9001, PCI DSS, HIPAA and NIST 800-53/FISMA High. Google Cloud Interconnect covers the DC1–DC15, DC21 range, and cabinets, private cages, Equinix Fabric, Fabric Cloud Router and the Internet Exchange are sold here, though Campus Cross Connects are not.
