Power capacity
630 MW

Bauxite III is the last of three phases on Rowan Digital Infrastructure's Frederick County campus, scheduled for delivery in 2027 behind Bauxite I, which reached substantial completion in 2025, and Bauxite II, due in 2026. The three phases share 375 acres and more than 630 MW between them; Rowan has not broken either figure out by phase, nor published building counts. The ground was the Alcoa Eastalco aluminium works at 5601 Manor Woods Road, the 2,100-acre property TPG and Quantum Loophole bought for $100 million in June 2021 and are redeveloping as a master-planned campus. Aligned holds a separate 74.89-acre carve-out on the same master site.

Frequently asked questions

When is Bauxite III due?
2027. Bauxite I reached substantial completion in 2025 and Bauxite II is due in 2026.
How much capacity do the three Bauxite phases carry?
More than 630 MW across all three, on 375 acres. Rowan publishes no per-phase figure, so the campus total should not be read as Bauxite III's own capacity.
What stood on the Frederick ground before Rowan?
The Alcoa Eastalco aluminium smelter. TPG and Quantum Loophole bought the 2,100-acre property for $100 million in June 2021 and are redeveloping it as a master-planned campus at 5601 Manor Woods Road.
Which other operators hold ground on the Quantum Loophole site?
Aligned has a separate 74.89-acre carve-out on the same master site. Rowan's 375 acres are distinct parcels within it.
